 Hi, I’m Rielle, and I fell hard for the live events industry just ten months ago.

Coming from the janitorial and sanitation world (respectfully!), I knew I was meant for something different. When I landed in events, it felt like I’d struck gold: a space full of energy, connection, and creativity. Everything clicked.

I’ve always been about people.

I started working in restaurants at 14 and quickly became fascinated by the art of connection. In college, I launched The People Projects, interviewing strangers and turning their stories into essays. I believed then—and still do—that if we truly saw one another, we’d all be a little kinder.

That same belief fuels NGEC.

At 26, I’m still chasing connection. I saw a gap: young professionals were eager to grow, but often outnumbered and overlooked by industry veterans. So I started this collective—not to compete, but to build something alongside what already exists. Something that felt like ours.

This isn’t just my side hustle. It’s my passion project.

I’ve poured my heart into building an approachable, energizing community where the next generation of event, hospitality, and creative professionals can find opportunities, friendships, and people who genuinely want to see each other succeed.

And yes, I’ve got the receipts.

At my last company (yep, the one selling vacuums), I built sales systems, mentored teammates, and led workshops focused on both results and mental wellness. I didn’t compete, I collaborated. And we all grew because of it.

That’s exactly how I want this community to feel.

NGEC is built on the idea that collaboration beats competition, that relationships are the center, and that the future of this industry is stronger when we build it together.
